xWays Hoarder xSplit is the latest release from Nolimit City, and this apocalyptic-inspired game offers unique gameplay, big win-potential and a fun array of bonuses and features.
The RTP of the game is set, by default, at 96.14%, and you can play this highly volatile machine from between 0.20 and 100 credits per spin at our secure best bingo sites.
In this xWays Hoarder xSplit slot review we’re going to be giving you an in-depth and comprehensive look at what the game has to offer – and we’ll kick things off with a look at the game’s theme, design, and layout.
xWays Hoarder xSplit Slot: Theme, Design, and Layout
xWays Hoarder xSplit is built on a fairly standard 5-reel, 3-row grid, but don’t let the design fool you; the game is anything but conventional. On each spin, the starting number of “ways-to-win” is 243-ways-to-win. However, this can increase to as many as 95,760-ways-to-win once all of the splitting symbols and xWays symbols come into play.
When it comes to the design and theme of xWays Hoarder xSplit, it’s pretty clear upon loading up the slot that it’s themed in some kind of nightmare-esque apocalyptic world. The game includes playing card values, including 10, jack, queen, king, and ace, which make up the low paying icons, and the characters are the higher-paying icons.
The game’s reels are set on a backdrop featuring what looks to be nuclear shelters – and all in all, it’s a fairly decent-looking game in our opinion.
Special Symbols, Bonus Features, and Gameplay
xWays Hoarder xSplit contains quite a few special symbols – some that we’ve seen before and others that are new – and we’ll take a look at all of these symbols, how they work – and how they affect the main bonuses and features in the following section.
xWays Hoarder xSplit Slot: Bonus Features
xWays Hoarder xSplit offers a ton of bonuses and features, like we’ve come to expect from many of Nolimt City’s games, and you’ll see some familiar bonuses and features, along with a new mechanic. Below, we’ll look at the different bonus features to be found within the game.
The xSplit Wilds can only land on the base-game on the last three reels. Any time one of these special wild symbols lands in view, all of the symbols on the left-hand-side of the wild symbol is split in two – essentially, doubling the pay for that specific line.
What’s more, if one of these special wild symbols hits an xWays symbol, the xWays symbol’s value doubles each time it’s split.
As with most of the game developer’s video slots, the main attraction in xWays Hoarder xSplit is a free spins bonus round, and this is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view. Landing three or four of these scatter symbols in view triggers the Bunker Raid free spins.
During the free spins, any xWays symbol that lands in view locks in place and remains there for the duration of the free spins bonus round. You will also receive +1 free spin. The symbol will then drop down to the bottom of the screen.
Each time you manage to collect three of these xWays symbols a new hoarder level is reached, and this sees the currently lowest-value symbol removed from the reels.
If you manage to and 5 of the scatter symbols during the base-game, you’ll trigger what’s known as the super feature. This is called the Wasteland Free Spins, and during these free spins only four symbols appear on the reels.
This is where the game’s major win-potential lies, as the locking wilds can have a 2x or 3x multiplier attached to them, so if you manage to get one of the premium symbols all the way across, you can win many thousands of times your stake here.
Nolimit City is, to many, what Big Time Gaming was a few years ago. They’ve appeared – seemingly – out of nowhere and are now one of the leading contenders in the online gambling industry, producing hit game after game.
Naturally, the volatile nature of their games has attracted many players going in search of those monster wins, and with titles like San Quentin xWays offering you the chance of winning up to 150,000 times your stake – it’s no wonder players are going crazy for the software provider.
xWays Hoarder xSplit slot is unique in that the maximum win-potential is a little lower than we’ve come to expect from some of the game developer’s other titles. Still, when compared against most software providers it’s remarkably high – coming in at a whopping 11,030X your stake – but it’s still down from some of their more recent releases, and this is unlikely to go unnoticed by players.
We should point out, however, that because the win-potential is slightly lower, the chances of actually hitting it improve – and, already, screenshots and videos have appeared online of players doing exactly that!
Aside from the impeccable soundtrack, we feel as though the game developer has done an excellent job with the gameplay too. The xSplit feature is a nifty addition and is a great way of cramming more symbols onto the reels, and when combined with the xWays mechanic, also used in the Infectious 5 slot, well, it soon becomes clear how those big wins can be formed.
Once again, Nolimit City delivers the goods, and we’re happy to see xWays Hoarder xSplit is going down well with players. We feel it’s an excellent game, and we look forward to seeing what the provider has up their sleeves next time! If you like something a bit less complicated, then Hotel Yeti-Way slot from Play’n GO is recommended, along with Push Gaming’s Booty Bay. They both feature plenty of re-spins and huge winning potentials.
