Vault of Fortune Slot Review

When it comes to the world of online slot providers, names like NetEnt, Microgaming, and Playtech may dominate, but Yggdrasil Gaming is always lurking in the shadows. It gets to shine when it can with its premium offerings. The Vault of Fortune slot is one such instance.

Here, Yggdrasil lets you put a mask on as you become a master thief who goes deep inside of a dark warehouse full of historical artifacts, antiques, some of the world’s most famous artworks, and gold, lots and lots of gold. Potential loot aside, Vault of Fortune is a progressive multiplier fans dream.

This is an interesting game from Yggdrasil. It doesn’t attempt to impress, though it is visually well-crafted, just like the Mega Masks slot game. It’s a slot that features dependable avalanche gameplay that unfolds as the value of the treasures on the reels increase. It’s an entertaining romp with a mystery museum atmosphere.

Vault of Fortune Slot Theme, Design and Layout

The theme? Well, I guess it is history, as the game relies on visuals comprised of many historical artifacts, mixed in with artwork we all recognize, as well as some elements that oddly resemble things out of Disney cartoons.

The reels spin in the center of the screen, they are framed by what appears to be a metal construction covered in gold. There are two backdrops in the game. Both are warehouses. One is set during the day time and features blue lights, while the other is set at night, featuring gold ones. In both, we can see many crates about as well as all the mentioned objects.

The multiplier sign hangs of the metal construction, from a beam on the left side. A display on the bottom of the screen shows all the active lines, your balance, coin value, and so on. Here, you also have access to the spin and auto spin buttons.

Once you land a winning combo, an animation with big gold numbers plays in the middle of the screen.

Special Symbols, Bonus Features and Gameplay

Vault of Fortune slot is a five-reel, three-row game, that has twenty paylines, one that you can play at the best casino sites in the UK starting with a bet size of just 10p which does go up to £100 per spin for the high-rollers. It has an RTP of 96.2% and a max exposure of x11,000 your bet. It is a medium to high variance game with a hit frequency of 19.4%, meaning every fifth spin will likely be a successful one.

The symbols in the game relate to the game’s theme. There are eight regular ones. On the high-side, we have cat statuettes, golden crowns, vases, and Faberge eggs. On the low-side, we have card suits in the form of jewelry. The standard Wild symbol is a lever with the word Wild. If you use this symbol to create a winning combo, the pull lever falls, and the Wild expands up to six vertical Wilds, crushing all other symbols on that reel. An ancient Cryptex is the game’s Scatter.

There are four bonus features in the game, all very familiar. There’s a Dropdown Respins feature (Avalanche) where, when you land a win, the winning symbols go away, allowing new ones to take their place. You then get a respin with new symbols. You can also enjoy a Multiplier feature, where each consecutive win increases the growing Multiplier by 1x, this happens with no limitations. We already kind of explained the Expanding Wilds feature above, which can expand a regular Wild up to six Wild symbols in height. You can activate this feature once per 25 spins.

Vault of Fortune Slot Free Spins Bonus Games

You activate the Free Spins feature when you land at least three Scatters on the reels. The number of Free Spins rounds depends on the number of Scatters you land. If you hit Scatters, you’ll get eight spins, if you hit four, you’ll get twelve, and for five, you get twenty.

You can re-activate this feature if you land more ancient Cryptex symbols. If you had a Multiplier in the base game, that gets carried over to the Free Spins round and will increase by x1 for each winning avalanche without resetting. There is no set limit as to how high it can go in the Free Spins round.

If you are into avalanche games, then you will love the new Gonzo’s Quest Megaways slot, but if you want to try something different, Gold Volcano slot from Play’n GO will do the trick.
