Cash of Command is a brand-new video slot from Play’n GO, and it’s a new addition to their cluster paying range of games. Similar concepts have been seen in the past with releases like Wild Frames. Cash of Command is based in a battle zone, and you will be tasked with taking control of the sea, sky, and land – all at the same time!
Cash of Command is a highly-volatile video slot, and it was released on the 21st July, 2022. Like most of the game developer’s video slots today, there are a number of RTP settings. Currently, Cash of Command is available in the following RTP settings: 96.28%, 94.27%, 91.27%, 87.24%, and 84.23%.
In this Cash of Command slot review, we will be looking at what the game has to offer. Firstly, we’ll take a look at the game’s layout and theme. Later on, we will study the different bonuses and features that the game has to offer, finishing up with our conclusion on the game.
Cash of Command Slot: Theme, Design, and Layout
In today’s climate, especially, war-themed games can be quite hard to pull off respectfully. It’s a sensitive subject, but we’d seen game developers like Nolimit City create exciting games that aren’t too war-y that fits well within the theme. (Think along the lines of Das xBoot.) Cash of Command is quite an action-packed, fast-paced video slot from Play’n GO, and there’s a ton of cool effects during the gameplay. This includes bombing raids, airplane flyovers, and naval ships patrolling the waters. Graphically, Cash of Command looks fantastic!
As Cash of Command is a cluster pays game, there are no paylines. Instead, wins are formed by matching five or more instances of a symbol that land in part of a cluster. The minimum stake is 0.10 credits, and the maximum – bingo site – dependent – is a whopping 100 credits.
Like all cluster pays games we’ve seen in the past, Cash of Command is built around a 9 by 9 format. The game offers a maximum win of 5,336x your stake, which is in-line with what we have become used to seeing from Cash of Command. The probability of hitting this max win, however, is a staggering 1/100,000,000!
Special Symbols, Bonus Features, and Gameplay
Wins are formed in Cash on Command by matching five or more symbols in a cluster. This means that you don’t need to worry about paylines – they’re not used during the game. Instead, you’ll simply need to land ‘groups’ of symbols. Provided they’re linked up either horizontally or vertically, you will make a win with five or more of them.
The game uses a wide variety of theme-specific symbols for both the higher-paying and the lower paying symbols. This makes everything fit in well with the theme. However, as it’s a cluster pays game, and wins aren’t formed by landing scatter symbols, there aren’t any scatter symbols in the game. Instead, you need to collect a certain number of symbols to progress to the next round. We’ll cover details about this in the “bonus features” section below.
Cash of Command Slot: Bonus Features
There’s a lot of bonuses and features to look at in Cash of Command. Firstly, there’s the Baron’s Turrets feature. On any non-winning spin, this feature can activate randomly. When it does, wild symbols are added to the reels in random positions. This gives you another chance to win, although wins aren’t guaranteed after wilds have been added.
The second bonus round is the Naval Heroes feature. When you form wins, the symbols involved with those wins are collected. They are then added to a meter which is found on the left-hand-side of the screen. There are four different levels to this meter, and when you reach each level you will get a special reel modifier.
The first, is known as Commander Wilder. This adds a random number of wild symbols onto the grid. The second modifier is called Captain Verto. This converts sets of symbols to the same symbol type. The third is called Admiral Magna; this adds four 2×2 sized mega symbols onto the reels.
If you manage to fill the meter – which requires you to collect 110 symbols or more – you will trigger the Baron Fusco feature. This feature removes all of the ships and submarine symbols until only one is left. Once that happens, the remaining ship or submarine will create a “super version” of the Naval Hero that it’s associated with.
For example, the Super Commander Wilder places even more wilds onto the grid, while the super captain Verto converts THREE symbols into the same symbol type. The final modifier is the Super Admiral Magna; this places four mega symbols onto the reels, and these symbols can be as big as 4×4 symbols!
Conclusion
While some players may take issue with a war-themed game being released in today’s climate, Cash of Command slot is a decent slot from Play’n GO. We feel that they’ve made the game respectfully and it doesn’t come across as offensive or untimely. It’s nice to see another cluster pays mechanic video slot from Play’n GO; this is something we haven’t seen as frequently in the last year.
The game play is pretty similar to what you’d expect from a cluster game like Moon Princess or Reactoonz. The bulk of the game’s win potential is unlocked by filling the meter on the left-hand-side of the reels. If you manage to activate one of the super features, you can hit some really nice-sized wins. 4,000x+ wins are possible, but very unlikely; hitting 750-1,500x, however, is possible – and we expect to see players doing just that soon enough!
Talking of Play’n GO, you’d better check out Merlin’s Grimoire slot if you are into the Arthurian legend, or if you want a blast from the past, The Rave slot from Nolimit City is absolutely banging.
