Gala Interactive, a subsidiary of Gala Coral Group, is moving their media and buying account from up north to the capital. After a competitive pitch between incumbent Home and London based the7stars, Gala Interactive has selected the latter to handle their massive £5.7 million media and buying account. While this was a fierce pitch, it should not come as a huge surprise, since the7stars is already working with Coral Interactive delivering great results for their brands which includes sports betting. It should be noted that the two accounts will be handled by two separate teams.

Top of the agenda for the7stars is to assist with the growth of two of the most recognized brands in the UK, and by creating new bingo offers, campaigns and handling media buys. Additionally, they will be asked to assist on media for the newly launched Swedish website The site offers casino, slots, bingo, live casino and poker games to the Swedish market.

Wunderman, part of WPP and Young & Rubicam Group, is a digital agency that has been employed to come up with a Christmas promotion for Sun Bingo. While most bingo sites tend to offer some lucrative prizes during the festive season, it continues to be one of the slowest periods for bingo players. The Wunderman appointment was done without a pitch, but it should be said they’ve been on the roster for months now, launching successful campaigns for The Sun – Dream Team and The Sun + Goals account.
