Mecca Bingo, one of the best bingo sites in the UK which is owned by Rank Group, has retained the services of Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R to handle their huge £2 million advertising account. The London based agency will be in charge of handling the bingo brand’s messaging and strategy across online, mobile and the retail sector. This is actually the first time Mecca is appointing an agency to handle their account, up until now, they hired agencies on an ad hoc basis, so this can be considered a major coup for the agency.
“We are delighted that Mecca, part of The Rank Group Plc, has appointed us as their lead brand agency. We are thrilled they will be joining our stable of great British brands and we look forward to making it shine even more brightly today and for years to come” said Ben Kay, CEO at RKCR/Y&R. On the other end, James Condon, Brand Marketing Director at Mecca said: “We are delighted to be working with RKCR/Y&R in our brand development, as they will help us take our business to the next level.”
After new appointments in October in key marketing positions, Paddy Power is set to unveil a major rebrand, the first since its launch 25 years ago. The new overhaul will be seen across their casino, poker and bingo brands, and while they will keep the brand’s green colouring, the name will now be a single word as opposed to two. The visual identity rebrand comes as Paddy Power is about to celebrate their 25 birthday next year. Landor Associates, an award-winning London branding agency, is behind the overhaul.
