In mid-October, William Hill announced that it had decided to split its £14 million UK ad account, giving newly formed Fabula their £10 million media account to handle their football and horse-racing brands, and appointing Beattie McGuinness Bungay, the current incumbent, the sole responsibility of handling their online gaming products, consisting of bingo, casino and poker. BMB, which has been working with William Hill since January 2011, will be in charge of an ad account worth around £4.3 million.
Now William Hill Bingo have gone ahead and unveiled their new TV commercial, which made its debut on Sky Living, and is set to get tremendous exposure across ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky. In addition to TV spots and heavy online presence, the bingo site will be sponsoring Home and Away on Channel 5 with a new set of 5, 10 and 15 second idents.
The spot features a massive, brightly-coloured bird, which appears in everyday locations and celebrates as people enjoy playing online bingo at William Hill Bingo, either on the move, or at the comfort of their own home with a crazy dance. The music used in the advert is Surfin’ Bird by The Trashmen, while the spot was directed by Mark Denton through Coy! Communications. Dan Gregson, Managing Director at BMB said: “With the current market growth in gaming we were eager to convey that William Hill Bingo is a fun, social and enjoyable pastime.”
