It was a very successful gathering at the Victoria Park Plaza in London, as all the online bingo minds got together for the 6th Annual Online Bingo Summit and Awards 2011. After a couple of days of very hard networking, panel sessions that dragged a bit longer than they should have, a dozen of interesting and boring speeches and a couple of noteworthy parties, it all came down to the 2011 Awards.

This year we only had two back to back winners, but considering there are only seven awards in total, that is a high percentage. The award for the Best Online Bingo Software went for the second year running to the people at Virtue Fusion while Bingo Port snagged the Best Online Information Portal. The award for Best Online Bingo Innovation went to Bingo Cams, and rightly so, but we don’t understand the logic behind the same bingo site scooping the Best Newcomer award.

Jackpotjoy Bingo was back enjoying the award that they have come to win most of the time, the one for Best Marketing Campaign, for their Queen of Bingo campaign. After conceding the award to Foxy Bingo last year, there was no doubt that they would win this award this year, especially after such a successful viral and TV campaign.

The last two awards went to familiar faces, the award for Best Affiliate Program went to Joy of Bingo which operates such prominent brands as RedBus Bingo, Wink Bingo, Tasty Bingo and Posh Bingo. I have to say, the people running this affiliate program are doing one heck of job, as affiliate payments are done on time, every single month, while affiliate incentives are introduced to reward those affiliates that actively promote their brands.

Finally, the most prestigious award of them all, the Best Bingo Operator, went to Wink Bingo, a site that was also nominated back in 2010 but lost out to Tombola Bingo. For everyone else, as they say, there is always next year.
